ABOUT What in Detail Nation
What inspired us to build What In Detail Nation in Westminster, Maryland was a reaction we heard over and over again from our clients. After their vehicle was detailed, many would tell us it had never looked that good—and they doubted it ever would again.
We wanted to change that.
To create a place where that level of pride, protection, and finish could be consistently delivered, we opened What In Detail Nation as a dedicated auto detailing shop. What began with professional interior and exterior detailing quickly evolved as we pursued higher standards, advanced training, and long-term vehicle protection solutions. Today, we are Certified Professional Detailers and trusted installers of premium ceramic coating systems, including CCI Ceramic Coatings as our primary coating solution, along with System X Ceramic Coatings for select applications.
Every vehicle that enters our shop receives careful preparation, expert installation, and products chosen specifically for durability, performance, and real-world results. This allows us to confidently protect and enhance vehicles of all makes and models with consistent, high-quality outcomes.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT
What In Detail Nation is a husband-and-wife owned business, proudly locally born and raised in Westminster, Maryland for multiple generations. This isn’t a side operation or a volume-based shop — it’s our livelihood, our reputation, and our community.
Unlike “one-stop” detail shops that attempt to offer every service imaginable, we intentionally specialize in paint correction, ceramic coatings, and long-term maintenance detailing. Our focus is on protecting vehicles properly, maintaining them correctly, and building long-term relationships with returning clientele — not rushing through high-volume, one-time services.
We work primarily with premium coating systems like CCI Ceramic Coatings, while also offering System X Ceramic Coatings for select applications. Every service is performed with careful preparation, proper correction, and products chosen for real-world durability — not marketing hype.
